Abstract: The word Severe Plastic Deformation (SPD) method is delivering as an effectual means for grain refinement and also obtains combined ductility and strength. The Severe Plastic Deformation (SPD) technique has several methodologies among them the High pressure torsion (HPT) and Equal Channel Angular Pressing Techniques widely used to attain desirable properties. Both techniques involve the deformation of material by pure shear which induces plastic deformation on the material. The present study has been carried out under HPT and ECAP techniques to identify the deformation behaviour for AA 6061 Aluminum Alloy.
